Parents

Communication with Parents

Regular written communication is provided in the form of a weekly newsletter to parents and a system of ‘correspondence books’ for each pupil. These give the opportunity for written communication between teachers and parents to take place whenever necessary, and also enables parents to monitor homework.

Parent-teacher meetings for the whole school are held once every term, though private appointments with form teachers, subject teachers or the Head of School are welcomed at any time.

Parent Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is open to all parents and teachers of the BISC. The primary objective of the PTA is to provide a formal channel of communication between parents, teachers and school management, as well as to organise fund-raising or social events. The PTA is also a point of contact for newly arrived parents who may wish to know more about the school or daily life in Krakow. PTA meetings are held on a monthly basis.

In the primary section, the PTA organises a rota of voluntary parental help in various classes. Parents are also encouraged to help with school performances, when assistance with costumes and make-up is greatly appreciated.
